Single use plastic in Barcelona is an important theme for BarcelonaSail!  Plastic waste and pollution in the Mediterranean Sea is enormous. Even more pronounced is the pollution along the coast line of large cities such as Barcelona. Single use plastic left on the beach is the main cause for the plastic pollution on the Barcelona coast line.

BarcelonaSail wants to inform and create awareness for this major problem. We do that through plastic fishing, plastic games and presentations.

Plastic fishing we do in small groups of maximum of 9 people. We set sail and search for plastic waste.  We find mostly plastic bottles and plastic cups

Single use plastic bags, water bottles and coffee cups are not necessary and should be replaced with multi use alternatives!
