BarcelonaSail selected the marina of Port Olimpic (English Olympic Harbor) to operate from, because the port it is central located and close to the beaches. The local harbor allows for quick sail out on the sea to maximize the time out on the sea! Boat address is Port Olimpic, Moll de Xaloc, doc 5, click here for a Google map of the boat location.
The easiest way to get to Port Olimpic is on the metro (station Ciutadella/Vila Olimpica, on the yellow line – line 4), or by walking along the Barcelona beach. When you reach Port Olympic, you need to come to the side of the port that is nearest to Barceloneta. The best landmark is the two towers (Mapfre and Hotel Arts) – that’s the correct side of the port.
You enter the port by sloping down along on the side walk next to the car lane, walk straight ahead, keep the boat on your right hand side walk 150 meter straight, turn right, walk 150 and turn right again, walk towards the gas station. There you will find doc number 5. I am at the entrance waiting for you. It is a 6 minute walk.

Port Olympic forms part of Olympic Village’s attractive sea front, set in the heart of Barcelona’s maritime zone and surrounded by beaches, gardens and buildings as prominent as the Torre Mapfre and the Hotel Arts, being what might be classed as an “Urban Port” thanks to its easy access from all locations, including public transport such as the underground (Line 4 CIUDADELA) and several buses (lines 36, 45, 59 and 71) which all serve Port Olímpic. Port Olimpic is the most attractive marina of Barcelona with many restaurants, and bars. The atmosphere is friendly and many people here to shoot there favorite picture. We often take a bite after sailing in one of the bars as food never tastes better after a few hour sailing.
